Centers for Chemical Innovation (CCI)
The Centers for Chemical Innovation (CCI) focus on major, long-term fundamental chemical research challenges. They conduct transformative research that leads to innovation and attracts broad scientific and public interest. CCIs are agile structures that can respond rapidly to emerging opportunities and make use of cyberinfrastructure to enhance collaborations. The centers often partner with researchers from industry, government laboratories and international organizations. They integrate research and education, serving as training centers for the future chemistry workforce.
