Partnership Model

Research.gov is a collaborative partnership led by the National Science Foundation of federal research-oriented grant making agencies working together for the ultimate benefit to the research community. Based on NSF's high standards and performance to its customers and leadership position in the grants community, NSF was selected to lead a Grants Management Consortium focused on research.

A Grants Management Consortium is a group of federal grant-making agencies with similar missions, grant types, and grant recipients working together to improve business processes and to define common online solutions. Through the Consortium, partner agencies can select the Research.gov services they would like to offer their grantees.

NSF has been reaching out to the research community through grantee conferences to gather feedback from users about the Research.gov strategy and design. NSF understands this collaboration is critical to ensuring Research.gov meets the research community's needs and welcomes your comments and feedback. Click here to add your feedback.
